About the event
Here’s something a lot of people don’t know: the Trentham community actually bought the building for the Trentham Neighbourhood Centre. It belongs to everyone. When the old Scout Hall came up for sale 35 years ago, locals formed the Trentham Community Group and bought it for $50,000 and then spent nearly ten years fundraising to pay it off.
THIS PLACE HAS ALWAYS BEEN POWERED BY PEOPLE CHIPPING IN.

The Trentham Neighbourhood Centre is calling on the community for support, hosting a Dinner & Dance FUNDRAISER in October to help keep its doors open. This town built the Neighbourhood Centre. One good night out helps us keep it.
The much-loved Centre, a not-for-profit, volunteer-led hub for classes, community groups, computer access and support in times of need, is feeling the squeeze. Like all neighbourhood houses, TNC runs on a mix of modest government funding…
