WELCOME TO TRENTHAM
Trentham offers a slower, more connected way of living. With friendly faces, a supportive community, and the quiet charm of country life, new residents quickly feel at home.

Life in Trentham and district demonstrates many ways in which we are a community and what community resilience can be.
We are mostly able to enjoy a slower way of life, without the city traffic jams, a calming country night sky and generally a quiet lifestyle experience.
Observers comment that we are friendly and welcoming, whether it’s catching up with friends out on the street, over the front fence, or downtown in the supermarket queue. It’s relatively easy to smile at visitors we meet, even if only to remark on the weather. We mostly give way to oncoming traffic on those narrow side streets, which are a totally different streetscape from the suburbs.
Amidst our very busy lives, keeping an eye out for our neighbours is an important part of small-town living. To do this, it is important to have information available when we need it. Events of recent years have helped the development of information sources and guidelines on how to prepare for some of the obvious challenges.
Power outages are not uncommon and can cause varying levels of distress, and we’re still telling stories about the Big Storm of June 2021.
NEW RESIDENTS INFORMATION
There are many questions new residents have when moving into our small town.
This website will likely provide answers to many of those questions. Keep an eye out for the arrival of those removal vans and introduce a new friend or two to this website. The other hope is that it will encourage new residents to make connections in different ways, get to know their neighbours, and feel at home in our community.

The Little Gallery Trentham
32B High Street, Trentham VIC 3458
The Little Gallery is situated in the heart of picturesque Trentham and has evolved to become one of Central Victoria's premier artist-run exhibition spaces.
Established in 2012, the Little Gallery has since proudly represented over 200 regional artists. Showcasing emerging, mid-career and established artists, the Little Gallery offers a true representation of the strong arts community within Trentham and adds to the cultural identity of the region.
The Little Gallery is currently run by its in-house resident Artists; Helen Cottle, Rose Wilson, Kim Haughie, Maria Coyle and Jimmy Rix. The gallery also features many regional consignment artists and invites guest artists to showcase on a quarterly rotation.
In July the Little Gallery hosts an annual exhibition called the 'Winter Show' whereby regional artists are invited to showcase their work in this highly anticipated event, with proceeds from sales donated to a local charity.
